A Prophetic look into the future

Before the close of this world’s history, God has purposed to make know to His people what is to happen in the latter days.
Through prophets God has uncovered secrets about the future. It is written, “Surely the overeign LORD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7”
God has uncovered the future for us through His servants the prophets. One of the major prophecies ncovering the future is found in Daniel 2- An ancient dream that perplexed a mighty monarch-King Nebuchadnezzar.
It was an outline of the world’s history from that time to the very end. In Daniel chapter 2 King ebuchadnezzar receives a strange dream which troubles him that he cannot sleep.
This mighty general fortunately forgets the dream. So he summons his wise men, the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers to tell him what he had dreamed and its interpretation as well.
The wise men come back with sad news that they had failed to discover the dream.
The king is outraged and orders the men to be executed. God later intervenes after all have failed and through his servant Daniel, the dream and the interpretation are uncovered.
What was this dream?
What is its interpretation?
How important is it for us to know it?
Let us study this prophecy diligently and faithfully.
Have you ever wondered just how long you would endure in the current place you live or work or study; or have you ever been inquisitive to know about the future of this world. Here is a king who wondered as to
whether his monarchy/ reign would last forever.
In the second year of his reign, king Nebuchadnezzar went to bed wondering just how long his kingdom would endure. He wanted to know the future. That night, God looked down from heaven and chose to entrust this benevolent dictator with a lookinto the future.
THE DREAM (DANIEL 2:31-36)
In the dream at night, Nebuchadnezzar beholds a large statue dazzling statue awesome in appearance.
The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. While the king was watching, a rock was cut, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and partly clay and smash them. Then the whole structure was broken into pieces at the same time. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth. Daniel 2:31-44
The interpretation (Daniel 2:36–46)
It is important to realize that in all the ages of earth’s history The Almighty God has purposed to make known to His people what is to happen in the latter days. This dream though it had been entrusted to this king, it was through God’s faithful servant, Daniel that the mystery would be uncovered.
From history we prove that what was predicted indeed came true. This gives us a basis to be certain that even what is going to happen according to the prediction will surely happen.

And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And [as] the toes of the feet [were] part of iron, and part of clay, [so] the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, theyshall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. Daniel 2:41;43
The ten toes represent ten Kingdoms which became the current European nations.
THE ROCK CUT WITHOUT HUMAN HANDS
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, [but] it shall break in Pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Daniel 2:44
Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream [is] certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. Daniel 2:45
Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon is face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer a oblation and sweet odours unto him. Daniel 2:46
The rock that was cut by no human hand represented the kingdom wich will crush all those kigdoms and bring them to an end, but it shall endure forever. The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will ne ver be destroyed.
The dream is true and the interpretation is
trustworthy.
